About EverPaw
Meet the team behind EverPaw — veterinarians and care specialists dedicated to giving families and their pets the peaceful goodbye they deserve.
Why We Exist
We started EverPaw because every one of us has been through it. We've lost pets in cold, sterile clinics — in public waiting rooms where grieving feels impossible and our animals spent their final moments somewhere unfamiliar. We knew there had to be a better way.
At-home euthanasia changes everything. Your pet stays in the place they love most, surrounded by the people they love most. Your family grieves in private, on your own terms. Once you've experienced it, you'd never go back.
EverPaw is built around one simple idea: treat every family the way we'd want our own treated. That means compassionate, Fear Free certified veterinarians. Same-day and 7-days-a-week availability. Transparent pricing with no surprises. And a team that's been where you are — and cares about getting this right.
Our Doctors
Founding Veterinarian
Dr. Laura Fontana ("Dr. Laura") is EverPaw's founding veterinarian and brings over 15 years of veterinary experience to every home visit. She earned her honors BS in Animal Science from the University of Delaware and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a competitive internship in equine sports medicine in Connecticut.
After years in equine practice, Dr. Laura transitioned to mobile small animal veterinary care — drawn to the deep, personal connections that come from meeting families in their own homes. She went on to build and run her own mobile veterinary practice in Southern California, providing comprehensive in-home care including end-of-life services and telehealth consultations.
In 2025, military orders brought Dr. Laura and her family to Chicagoland, where she became EverPaw's founding veterinarian. Of all the services she's provided in her career, she has found in-home euthanasia to be the most meaningful — ensuring a peaceful, painless transition for a beloved pet in a comfortable, stress-free environment surrounded by the people who love them most.
Dr. Laura lives in Plainfield with her husband, three children, and two dogs. When she's not caring for families and their pets, she enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking, and traveling with her family.
Co-Founder & Advisor
Dr. Jen Rokke is a veterinarian, leader, and advisor with nearly three decades of experience in clinical practice, hospital leadership, and the animal health industry. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with veterinary teams at every level, from the exam room to the boardroom, giving her a unique understanding of both the human and operational sides of care.
Her clinical passion has long been oncology, geriatric medicine, and end-of-life care. The moments of medicine that are both the most difficult and the most meaningful are the ones she has remained closest to. She is a certified member of the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA), reflecting her commitment to ensuring that end-of-life care is delivered with dignity, presence, and compassion.
As Co-Founder and Advisor of EverPaw, Dr. Rokke is deeply committed to supporting pets and their families through end-of-life transitions in a way that honors the bond they share, bringing comfort, clarity, and peace to an incredibly tender part of life.
Dr. Rokke earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She lives near Ann Arbor, Michigan with her family, including her beloved Brittany, Hux. She finds grounding in time outdoors and with the animals who have always been at the center of her life.
